The teacher slowly reads a story and students draw the story on their board as they hear it – requires quick thinking. The teacher then reads it for a second time and students can add words to their pictures and re-tell the story to their partner.

Students use the boxes on the question generator grid to come up with questions in response to reading a text. The grid also helps develop the complexity of their questions.
