A Tessellation is when we cover a surface with a pattern of flat shapes so that there are no overlaps or gaps.
Ask your child to explore shapes that tessellate on their isometric grid. Encourage them to get creative, can they make up new shapes? What’s the weirdest shape they can tesselate?
