What is volume?
Volume is the amount of space a 3d shape takes up. You can work out the volume of a shape by multiplying height × width × depth. If these measurements are in centimetres (cm) then the volume measurement is recorded in cubic centimetres (cm³).
In this game, players will be calculating the volume of different cuboids that they will build on the isometric whiteboard.
Player 1 rolls the dice 3 times and records each throw as a measurement of the cuboid they will build on the whiteboard.
Throw 1 = Height
Throw 2 = Width
Throw 3 = Depth
Player 1 then draws this cuboid and calculates the volume.
Player 2 then repeats these steps.
The winner of the round is the player that has created the cuboid with the greatest volume.
Play for five rounds to decide who is the overall winner.
